Benefits of Aikido
Aikido is a martial art with roots deep in ancient Samurai traditions. Today, you can train in Aikido as a way of self-defence, as well as a way of self-development. In addition to self-defence, Aikido has many benefits including self-confidence, relaxation, fitness, flexibility and improved posture.
Training in Aikido
White Oak Aikido training is under the guidance of both a 6th dan male and 4th dan female coach, both of whom hold British Aikido Board coaching qualifications, as well as the Award in Education and Training. Although Aikido is a martial art, training is always conducted in a non-competitive and non-aggressive atmosphere, so you can progress at your own rate and build your confidence.
Aikido Beginners' Course
We run an eight-week course for beginners, which costs only £60. Included in your course fee are: the White Oak Aikido e-handbook, full of useful information about Aikido, together with online access to the White Oak Aikido training video, in which you can study everything you need to know for your first grading.
