Qi Gong in Basingstoke and Caversham

Qi Gong exercises can be done by almost anyone, so are an ideal way to start a gentle exercise programme. What's more the Dragon & Tiger system taught at the classes in Basingstoke and Caversham is designed to give you an overall improvement in your health and wellbeing, as the system is based on making physical movements that boost the Qi, the energy of the body. Most of the Qi Gong class is usually done standing up, although some exercises are best performed sitting down. You will be encouraged to work at your own pace and take a rest whenever you need to. Exercises can also be adapted for those with limited mobility who would prefer to do some or all of the class seated. No special clothing is required, not much space is needed and there's no special equipment, so Qi Gong is ideal to practice at home, once you have some idea of the basic movements. Please email me, if you have any questions, take a look at more information about Qi Gong or just drop in for a free taster class.

Aikido in Caversham and West Reading

Aikido is a Japanese martial art. It's all about evading attacks, redirecting attacking forces and ultimately controlling the attacker to the ground, either with a throw or with an immobilisation technique. Aikido doesn't require you to be stronger than your attacker, so it can be practised by young (over 18s) and old, male and female, and even those who haven't thought of themselves as particularly sporty before. You'll find Aikido is a great way to exercise and improve your fitness too, as most people are so absorbed in the training, they don't notice they're exercising! The best way to find out more about Aikido is to come along to a free taster session - you don't need any special clothing, just something you can move easily in. But if you have any questions, please email us or take a look at more information about Aikido.
